This project was completed as a part of Major League Hacking's "Open Source Fellowship Track." The organization provided me with virtual reality equipment, and my mentor for the project was Rik Cabanier, a software engineer from Meta's Oculus division.
I constructed this virtual reality sample to exhibit W3C’s new WebXR Media Layers API during my time as a fellow. The sample demonstrates a high-quality video player inside of an "immersive-vr" session. I used Three.js to render a toolbar for the videos in the 3D space and implemented functionality to move the video players around in the 3D space.
